Owner
Design, develop, and deploy custom software used to
resolve specific customer needs. Includes requirements
analysis, ongoing management of relationships and sales
of services. Clients include Fuji-Xerox Palo Alto
Labs, Silicon Graphics, Questec, and others.
Silicon Graphics March 96 - November 98
Member of Technical Staff
Responsible for all engineering in a group chartered to
enhance corporate visibility. Developed custom
applications providing on-air broadcast enhancement for
sports, including golf and football. Also provided
technical support with video engineering issues to
allow use of Silicon Graphics computer systems on movie
sets as theatrical props.

Marketing Engineer
Part of a team of marketing and engineering
professionals responsible for development and
implementation of programs designed to enhance business
in scientific markets, specifically oil and gas,
medical, geographic information systems and chemistry.
Duties included developing software to demonstrate new
technologies, educating partner software developers,
participating internally in new product design
processes, and presenting technical information at
conferences and to customers. Personally developed
25,000 line volume rendering application, now used as
the defacto volume rendering solution on Silicon
Graphics platforms.
Carnegie Mellon University
Project Member - GEMS January 1993 - May 1994
One of three developers of the NSF funded Grand
Challenge application GEMS (Geographical Environmental
Modelling System). Provides an easy way to analyze,
store, and visualize large quantities of environmental
data on workstations. Personally responsible for 3d
visualization of clouds, wind fields, and elevated,
colored landscapes. Also helped with project steering.

Skills Thorough knowledge of computer graphics, user interface
development, OOP techniques (including OMT and OOSE),
and UNIX. Skilled in the use of the following
languages, libraries, APIs, tools and operating system
variants: C++, C, Perl, Scheme, Lisp, OpenGL, TCP/IP,
Open Inventor, Performer, Motif, X11, DNS (BIND),
sendmail, web server administration, Unix systems
administration (including YP/NIS and general network

Some familiarity with software development under
Windows NT using Visual C++ 6.0 and MFC as well.
